Oh the things my Jesus teaches me!

Since I’ve been posting a lot of stories of awesome things God did, I thought’d I’d change things up a bit. It’s still very much a story of what God did, but here’s some what He taught me!  (More to come later!)

One thing that He placed on my heart was my home church. My church here in Lansing is small and very much so like a family. There are a lot of people in it who, at least I believe, have such a heart for missions, a heart for outreach and heart to see the Kingdom furthered. But yet, they don’t know how, where, or when to do this. So I really felt God telling me to pray for the church. To pray that they would let God work in them, that they would have a passion for Him and for missions. So I began to pray, and my heart was so burdened! I had not been that burdened since God first called me to Africa. I felt such a desire to get my church involved with Impact Africa  and I felt like God was telling me to bring my church to South Africa. Well, God answered, and still is really, answering that prayer.
Last week I met with my pastor about when I could present to the church about my trip. So I showed him a few pictures, and talked a bit about what we did and told him a little bit about Impact Africa. Then his wife had an idea that made me so happy! She suggested the possibility of getting a group of us together to go down to South Africa for a short term trip! This is so exciting!

So for those of you reading, please pray! Pray that this trip will be something that happens! I so badly want the people from my church to go the place where God broke my heart! Pray that people will feel God leading them to go or to support those who do go!
