It's been a while, well maybe not that long

I decided it was time for a new blog post! Woo hoo, right? Well here's the status on how things are going for this summer: it seems like they aren't going anywhere! However, I know thats not right! I have scheduled and reserved my church for March 5th for my "big" fundraiser. I'm doing a soup, salad and bread luncheon, all homemade! I feel bless because one of my friends offered to make some soup, another offered to make bread, so thats less of a load on me! And then another friend offered to pay for the groceries for the meal, God is good! I'm so thankful for these people in my life! God is working, in His time, not mine. Joanna just needs to focus on Gods timing and how He wants to provide for this. I think I can trust Him with it! =)
I am also in the process of trying to contact my current school and the school I'm transferring to next fall to see if this internship can transfer as any sort of credit. IF they want to accept it, I can then apply for a scholarship that would give me at least $3000, which is pretty much what I need.

As for as good ole fundraising, I currently have about $1300 of an estimated $4000 so that puts me at 32%. Wow, to actually see this is pretty encouraging! (Yes, I just figured out the percentage for the sake of this blog, don't you judge me! :D ) I've been thinking I have so much farther to do, but seeing this percentage is helpful. Thanks Jesus!

Things to pray for! Ok, if you would like to get involved, you can pray! So many times prayer is used a cop out. When you get 50 letters every year from different people going on trips or going into missions, its rough. You, I know I have, often say oh I'll just pray, but many times dont! So I am asking you to pray with me. Seriously spend time in prayer, going to Jesus and talking to Him! You can pray that:
* God would just lead me in what to do next
* For discernment when choosing flights and travel insurance
* For unity with my team
* For safety
* Provision in every area

So there it is, whats going on and such. I pray that God will bless each of you immensly! I pray that He's speaking to you, that He's showing you things, that He's doing a visible work in your life. I pray that God would give you peace and patience when there isn't visible fruit. God is up to something, I pray for peace, patience, discernment and wisdom for us, the body of Christ, as we move where He wants us to move, to speak what He wants us to speak and to do what He wants us to do.

To end it all, I want to add some scripture! The other day I read (thanks Jackie!) 1 Corinthians 7:17-24. The whole chunk is just like "Whoa Jesus, you are good, man!" But verses 20-23 I want to point out.
" Let each one remain in the same calling in which he was called. Were you a slave when you were called? Don't worry about it; but if you can be made free, rather us it. For he who is called in the Lord is the Lord's freedman. Likewise he who is called while free is the Lords slave. You were bought at a price; do not become a slave of man"
God calls each of us to a different thing, it doesn't matter what we've done, where we've been, who we were. All that matters is that you let God use you! That you let Him use whatever baggage you have! I pray this hits someone like it did me! Pass it on, my friends!
