So, my last blog post was a bit spastic. However, in my defense, that's pretty much what I was doing! When I found out that all the money had come in, I was floored! I giggled, screamed, laughed, wanted to cry and could not stop smiling (even if physical pain were to be inflicted on me, I would probably still be smiling and giggling!)! It was that intense! So I want to share with you how God provided the last bit, since I never really got around to doing that between the giggling and happy dances. =)
So here it is! On Thursday night I was sitting in Bible studies with the ladies and we were just talking about what we needed prayer for in the week to come. That week I had been feeling particularly stressed over the money for my trip and I just felt full of doubt and a lack of peace that I hadn't felt in a while. (OH!!! Precursor to Thursday evening: that morning, I spent a lot of time in prayer, just praying for peace and that God would just provide. Praying that God would do something big!) So I asked for prayer for contentment, faith and peace. When I got home that night I checked my e-mail and someone had donated $350 to my trip! I was so blown away that the only thing I could do was to stare at my screen for like 30 minutes with my mouth wide (and I do mean wide!) open.
THEN....
....On Friday evening I got home and saw that I had a message on Facebook. A girl who that I had been in band with and written me a message telling me that she was planning on going to Ukraine this summer on a missions trip. She had quite a bit of money set aside for the trip, but someone in her church paid her entire trip for her. So she wanted to know how much I had left to raise. When I told her about $300 she just says "Ok, cool. I'll write you a check for that and get it to you soon!" Again, BLOWN AWAY! Oh man, my God is good!
It's so hard to believe that everything is pretty much paid for! I still have to get my insurance and all the travel items I'll need (Hooray for toiletries and packing...just kidding. But God has provided like crazy! Whoa! That's seriously all I can say about it!
Although the money is in, please keep praying! Keep praying that:
1. God would prepare my team and I for the ministry this summer.
2. That my math was correct and that I actually do have all the money I need!
Thank you SO much for all your prayers and support! I am blown away by what God has done!
