Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving. Good day! I mean who doesn't love a day that is seemingly centered around food? I love to cook and bake, so I love holidays like today and Christmas. But it's so not all about the food. This year, was the first time (ever I think) that my family had it with just the five of us. We've always gone to either of my grandparents. When I thought about what today might be like, it was wierd and honestly I was a bit apprehensive. A whole day, with just the five of us? Not quite sure how I felt about it. But it's been a good day! Got up, had coffee, watched the parade, cooked, ate, played monopoly, ate more, got my butt kicked at monopoly. I was a bit leary of the idea of us all together, but there have been no serious fights, no serious annoying comments and it's all been good.

So long story short, I am thankful for my family. I'm thankful that I have two parents who love Jesus and want to follow Him. I'm thankful that I have a brother and sister that I get along pretty well with. I'm just all around thankful for the way that my life has turned out so far. God is so good! He's done so much in me and I know He's not done yet. So today, I have a lot to be thankful for. Seriously, a lot!
