In the midst of fundraising

My sister and I are in the midst of fundraising for a short terms missions trip to South Africa. Today I was thinking thoughts a long the the lines of "Is it worth it?" I have been to South Africa twice before (thank you Jesus!) but then it was a month, then two months. This summer, I'll be there for two weeks.

Spending a few months raising money, stressing out over money, asking people to give, constantly throwing said stress at the feet of Jesus, and then a whole lot of excitment: welcom to my world. =) After experiancing this multiple times a day, a few words stick in the front of my mind.

It is so worth it...

Spending time planning, praying, stressing and cooking (well get to that in a bit) is so worth it. So I loose sleep, so what if I have a bit less spending money, so what if I'm crying out to Jesus every night because I'm stressed. All this is so someone can hear the Gospel. A few months of stress in exchange of some ones life being changed! A season of worry for someone being set free from strongholds in thier life!

This summer, I know the Lord will do amazing things! Women, men and children will see the love of Jesus. The lost will be found. Chains will be broken. The darkness will disapear in the light. People will give thier lives to Jesus! That alone is exciting! This is so worth it!

So, keeping with the theme of fundraising...on May 27, my sister and I are doing a dinner.
