What's on you'r mind?

Africa. This word used to do nothing to me. Maybe once in a while I would feel a burden for those living in poverty in Africa, and I always thought that it would be a pretty cool place to visit. Now, well now this word brings so many feelings and vivid pictures to my mind! Africa! - the place where my heart was broken, the place where I felt happier then ever before, the place where God broke through my fears and insecurities. Africa - home to poverty, AID's, tribes who know nothing of God, home to a beautiful people! Pretty much if anyone were to ask me "What are you thinking about?" Africa is most likely the answer. God has used this continent, well really the very Southern tip of it, to change my life! He used it to break into who I thought I was and replace it with who He wanted me to be.

So in all the talk about Africa, here's an update on preparations for that.
Fundraising = I only need about $700!!!!! God has been providing in some amazing ways!
Travel Insurance = I know I need insurance and I have looked and found a plan that's about $75 for the two months (I think!). So I need to get on that one!
Spiritual Prep = Well, God has been blowing my mind! I've felt more compassion on the people here then I have in a long time.He's been showing Himself to me in numerous ways. So to sum up this area of prep, things are going great! I can't wait to see Him working as the time grows closer!

So yeah, life is going pretty good! My God is one of surprises and provision and faithfulness and so many more attributes! God is showing me what to do next both for this summer and for the future!

By the way, I might be moving to Africa when I'm like 23! If you don't get the significance of this post, here it is. A while ago, I wrote a post (well, at least I think I did) about how a missionary came to my church. He was talking about how when he and his wife moved to the mission field, they were both about 23. After that day I really, really, really wanted to be able to move overseas at 23. So now, it looks like it might be happening!

Oh! Please pray with me! I'm trying to think of fundraisers to do, so pray that things will work out and God will let me know what to do!
